PADMA DESIGNS CONCEPTUAL, NARRATIVE-LED
DINING & INSTALLATIONS

Beyond event styling and catering,
our work is s
haped by regenerative design practice and long-term relationships to:

f o o d,
m a t e r i a l s,
l a n d ,     and     p e o p l e.

We create sculptural dining and site-specific environments informed by how food is grown and shared, how people gather and move, and how materials act as collaborators—not props.

Named after the lotus, PADMA reflects an ethos of transformation: creating beauty, meaning, and intimacy through what is grown under imperfect conditions.

Founder

K y n a    P a y a w a l  is a Filipina American artist working with ceramics, food, and living materials to create sculptural i
nstallations.

Her practice explores ecology, gathering, and material intimacy—inviting people to soften and experience kinship with land, food, and one another.

She brings over a decade of experience across design, behavioral research, and strategy in sustainability, climate storytelling, tech, and entertainment—bridging artistic vision with strategic systems thinking.

Her approach is shaped by a holistic relationship to food and wellbeing—growing up in the Philippines sharing long kamayan feasts, alongside edible gardening, intuitive cooking, and practices of mindful eating and meditation—grounding her work in care, presence, and long-term health of people and planet.

Vision

We believe separation—from Earth, from others, and from self—undermines both human and planetary health.

Food offers a direct path back.

Through  s h a r e d  meals,
interdependence becomes
something   f e l t   rather than abstract.
P l e a s u r e  becomes a form of  c a r e.
C a r e  becomes responsibility.

By gathering with intention, we remember what we already know: that biodiversity, resilience, and abundance emerge through relationship—together.
